orphans of poor Ministers, and for Annuities?
After some debate, it passed in the affirmative
Voted to choose a Committee to prepare a plan
for the incorporation of a Society, for the
purposes expressed in the last vote; and in
case a charter should not be obtained, the
Committee are desired to prepare a plan,
in which the object which convention have
in view, may be secured, without a Charter.
N.B. It appeared to be the Sense of the Conven-
-tion, that the number to be incorporated
should not be large, and that it should
consist only of Ministers.
Voted that the Committee consist of nine.
Mr President Willard, Mr Professor
Wigglesworth, Mr Howard, Mr Lathrop,
Mr Clarke of Boston, Mr Thacher of Do,
Dr Gordon, Mr Payson of Chelsia, and
Mr Eliot of Boston were chosen. ----
Committee to audit the Treasurers
accounts, reported; and report accepted.
Voted, thanks to the Treasurer for his kind
