Middleborough Jan 1 1783 I Desire to praise God that I was born in a Land of Gospel Light and was given up to God in baptizm by my parents in infancy and from time to time had much good Counsel bestowed upon me but all in Vain I chose to go My own way and Lived in the Violation of all Gods Commands both in thought word and Deed until about two years agoe when it pleased God to Discover to me the vileness of my heart and State of enmity that I was in to God both by nature and by practice and of the mistaken thought I had of God and of the renewing influence of his holy Spirit which allmost caused me to Despair of mercy bot God in his own time and way was pleased to Discover to me the way of Salvation by Jesus Christ by his obedience to the Law can be Just and yet the Justifier of them that Believe in him and I think if I am not Greatly Decicved it is my Duty to come to the Sacrament of the Lords Supper I humbly ask your acceptanc of me and your prayers to God for me If I have offened any I Desire their forgiveness Marcy Cushman
