Relation of Mrs Drucilla Carr. From my early youth I had at times deep convictions of my sins, but it being a time of general stupidity I cast of fear and negglected prayer and became more hear[d]ened than ever. When the reformation first began in companions Salisbury in the Spring of 1825 I thought That my mates weare all agoing to be called in and that I was agoing to be left a lone. I felt as though God was unjust and made it my constant rule to persecute his Children. About the first of June I began to be more thoughtful and I attended meeting more constantly but I was careful to shun the company of all professing People, that they should say nothing to me to warn me of my danger. I attended a [ meeting one evening I felt very different from what I had done before. I thought while in meeting that I need not shun the company of Christians any more, for they had all passed by me as a poore hear[d]ened sinner. This was the first time that I ever wanted to enquire what I should do to be saved, before I left the meeting some that weare preasant asked me if I felt anxious for my soul, I told them that I had at times and I hoped that they would pray for me that I might have a deeper sense of my sins. The next day was Saturday I was verry much distressed in mind through the day. On Sabbath day I felt as though I could not stay at home from meeting and at the third meeting I could no longer conceal my feelings they weare to miserable to all I had a deep sense
